The Oak Grove Fire Station is located at 395 S. 273rd E. Ave (Oak Grove Rd.) and has had several transitions to bring it to its’ present state. The original building was a two bay building with offices, and was erected by donated labor from local ironworkers.

Expansion of 3 more bays was completed in 1999, thanks to a grant from the Doctor’s Hospital Foundation.  This expansion allowed the department to expand its’ fleet, provided more storage space for training aids and additional equipment such as spare hose, SCBA Cylinders, and a breathing air compressor and cascade system.

Our lateset expansion was completed in 2005, much in part to the generous efforts of members of OGFD, who provided the majority of the labor for the project. Built to provide additional office space, living area, and a training facilty with the necessary audio/video equipment to use the latest training materials; this expansion has proved invaluable in our pursuit to provide the best fire protection for those we serve. The Oak Grove Fire Training Annex was opened for service in May 2005 to celebrate the ten year anniversary of the Oak Grove Fire Protection District. This important expansion of the fire department included offices, sleeping quarters, living facilities and a training room that more then quadrupled the livable area in the previous station. The name for the annex was a much disputed topic until the untimely passing of one of the most important individuals in the history of the Oak Grove Fire Department. Gerald R. Stika was not a founding member of the department nor was he even ever a firefighter. Rather Gerald R. Stika was the father of three (two current) Oak Grove Firefighters who went on to become a board member of the fire district. He instilled in his sons the importance of community service and thus he was responsible for some of the most important firefighters Oak Grove has ever had on its roster. Gerald Stika will be forever remembered for his direct and indirect contributions as his name rests on the exterior and interior walls of the best fire district in Oklahoma.
